Dr. Baltazar is MSW Program Director, Professor of Social Work, Co-Associate Director of the Institute for the Prevention of Addictions at Andrews University, and contract Psychotherapist at Life Coach Psychology in Berrien Springs, MI. She has conducted, presented, and published research in the area of parent/child relationships and pastoral family stress. Dr. Baltazar teaches clinical courses, including a course in couple and family therapy, at the School of Social Work. Dr. Baltazar is a licensed clinical social worker and a certified family life educator and has worked with individuals and families for over 25 years.

Beverly Sedlacek, MSN, DNP

 

Dr. David Sedlacek is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Discipleship and Lifespan Education at Andrews University. He has worked in public and private settings as a clinician, researcher, teacher, pastor, chaplain, and administrator. Dr. Sedlacek has worked extensively in the areas of addiction, abuse, relationships, marriage, and family.

Dr. Beverly Sedlacek is trained in the area of psychiatry and has worked and taught in the area of psychiatric nursing. She has worked as Clinical Director in several treatment facilities.

The Sedlaceks teach and counsel on the issue of emotional healing and family wellbeing and have written the book: Cleansing the Sanctuary of the Heart: Tools for Emotional Healing.

Dr. Fraser is Assistant Professor and Director of the Ph.D. (Discipleship in Lifespan Education) program at Andrews University. Her inquiry in individual and family lifespan education has led to research and presentations on various family relational issues, including family communication dynamics, parent-child relational quality time, and the dynamics of parent-child relationships. Dr. Fraser serves as one of the coordinators of the Adventist Conference on Family Research and Practice.

Dr. Sven Östring is the Director of Ministry and Strategy for the South Pacific Division (SPD) and the SPD Family Ministries Liaison. He has worked extensively in various pastoral, chaplaincy, and directorship roles. Dr. Östring is one of the founding visiting Seventh-day Adventist chaplains at the University of Sidney.
